What defines a Modern War?

Unlike past wars fought for territory, recources, etc. The modern wars are mostly crusades. Back in WW2 or The War of 1812, people gave up. They had no reason to fight. But today, fighters will die for what they believe in fighting for. That is why modern wars move so painfully slow...

yeah, nowadays, they're eithr religious or nuclear, and both are terrible options, but at least the US isn't still trying to onquer Canada

Yea like wed expect Canada to be a cakewalk when it was currently owned by the largest power in the world.

well sure, but it wasn't like they were entirely loyal, and Britain ( before the war broke out) didn't have many units there, and by the time they got there, Canada could have possibly been under the US's thumb, if the idea was a tad more successful. . . .

then again, we had hardly anyone in our HOMELAND, and unlike in our revolutionary war, France and Spain basically said "you have fun with that" anf left the US to stalemate Britain on its own, lol
